Health Secretary Shona Robison will visit Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary on Thursday, August 6, to find out more about the health board’s plans for this coming winter.
Health boards and the Scottish Government are now planning for the additional pressures winter brings, as well as learning from how last winter impacted on NHS services.
Ms Robison will visit the hospital’s emergency department and meet with frontline staff during her visit.
