24 HOUR CRICKET MATCH

September 4 @ 6:00 pm - September 5 @ 6:00 pm
To raise funds for the new pavilion the club will be running a marathon cricket match stretching for 24 hours! We need as many players to get involved and put in a shift. Many will just camp at the ground for the full duration and play as much as they can.

Dragon Boats on Loch Ken is a registered charity which has two 40′ long dragon boats based at the Galloway Activity Centre, near Castle Douglas.  We paddle every Sunday from April to October and anyone aged 12 years or over can join us. It’s £5 for a session and we provide a paddle and buoyancy jacket.  You don’t need to be able to swim.  It’s a low impact sport so you can work as hard or as little as suits…

An exhibition of paintings by Andy McKean. Andy, a retired architect, lives in Gatehouse of Fleet. He works mainly in water-thinned acrylics and his subjects generally cover old buildings, monuments, houses, gardens, landscapes and seascapes. His paintings often feature the strong compositional effects produced by patterns of bright sunlight and deep shadow on weathered stone or rocks, contrasted with the soft textures and bright colours of vegetation. Crossmichael Triathlon
