Organisers behind the Dumfries & Galloway Unsung Hero Awards, have announced that nominations are officially open for 2025!
This brand-new celebration takes place on Friday, 10th October The Cairndale Hotel & Spa, honouring the incredible individuals and groups who go above and beyond to make a difference in our communities—often without seeking any recognition.
The Award Categories are:
Unsung Hero – Adult Award
For an individual aged 18+ who consistently goes the extra mile to support others or their community.
Unsung Hero – Youth Award
For an inspiring young person (under 18) whose positive actions are making a real impact.
Unsung Hero – Community Group Award
For a local group, charity, or informal team working together to bring about positive change.
Special Recognition Award
For someone who doesn’t quite fit into the above categories but whose efforts deserve to be celebrated.
