Successful Youth Beatz Donation Project To Continue This Year

Youth Beatz 2025 will once again continue with the expansion of its Donation Project. Festival attendees are invited to donate foodstuffs, toiletries, school uniform or pet care or pet food items if they can.

Entry to Youth Beatz Festival continues to be free, and the event has an important role in supporting local communities across Dumfries and Galloway. We are looking for everyone attending to support our food donation and school uniform donation point (if you are able to) by bringing along one food item or school uniform item listed below as a donation to our local food providers and community organisations.

You can drop your donation off at the entrance to the Festival when you go through the ticket check. We know that not everyone will be able to donate but if you can bring just one item for 2025, this will make a huge difference to families and individuals who are struggling with food insecurity on a daily basis. We are accepting donations of all of the following:

Food items and toiletries: tinned meat/vegetables/fruit, tea/coffee, biscuits, cereal, tinned soup, pasta (dried), rice, chocolates, treats, toiletries and baby products.
School clothing: do you have any school clothing, school uniforms items (including blazers, branded tops, polo shirts and ties), coats, shoes, bags, stationery and school sportswear that you no longer need and could be used by others?

All donations received will be distributed to local organisations and food providers throughout Dumfries and Galloway.

Chair of Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Education Skills and Community Wellbeing Committee Councillor Maureen Johnstone said: “The Youth Beatz Donation Project is an important aspect of Youth Beatz that makes a huge difference to children, young people and families across the region. All donations that we receive over the weekend will be distributed to local organisations and food providers throughout Dumfries and Galloway.”

Once again, our Youth Beatz Festival will have a period dignity product stall in the Youth Information Marketplace that will supply free period products to attendees over the event weekend.

Vice Chair of Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Education Skills and Community Wellbeing Committee Councillor Lynne Davis said: “We are incredibly grateful to those who have previously given donations through this initiative and would invite all of this year’s attendees to donate items if they are able to. The donation point will be staffed by volunteers over the event weekend, who we would also like to thank for donating their time to help this fantastic project.”

Giving to the Youth Beatz Donation Project is not a condition of entry.
