Get Crafty Making Christmas Boxes at Kirkcudbright Tolbooth

Get a head start with crafting some of your home-made Christmas presents, by going along to The Tolbooth, in Kirkcudbright, on Saturday 2nd December.

Working with local artist, Morag Macpherson, you will be guided to create your own wonderful patchwork decorated box. Boxes will be supplied but you can bring along your own box if you like.

What you put inside the box is up to you. Suggestions could be little sweets made from tissue or cellophane and placed into small Christmas themed foil cases. You may wish to make a twig Christmas tree instead, with different coloured ribbons as the branches.

You will be able to explore lots of ideas and then make the decision – do you want to keep your fabulous Christmas box or do you want to give it to someone special as a present!

Councillor Andy Ferguson, Chair of the Communities Committee, said, “This is a great opportunity to start early and have fun creating some Christmas inspired designs”.

This activity has been organised by Kirkcudbright Galleries and runs from 11.00am until 3.00pm at The Tolbooth. Children must be accompanied.
