Washing Line Goes up For Ever! – Big Burns Supper

Electric Theatre Workshop launches an historical online archive featuring local people in a permanent living archive.
After the successful installation of the 374m Washing Line art project on Dumfries High Street for Big Burns supper 2017, Electric Theatre Workshop have launched their online archive which is home to stories collected as part of the project.

The art project engaged residents of Dumfries aged between 65 and 103 and collected their memories of growing up in the town over a six-month research period.
The archive is a permanent fixture that can be accessed year- round.
Project creator Rachael McDougall described the archive as “a unique way for people to hear personal memories of our town”.
