A Bright new Brand for Local Charity Soul Soup

Soul Soup is proud to launch an exciting new brand and accompanying website for the mental health charity based in Dumfries. The website features upcoming projects and outlines the vital free counselling service delivered to young people aged 12-25 who live in the Dumfries and Galloway region.

The new website acts as a central hub of information on services and projects being run. Included are details of the counselling services offered, material on mental health self-help, signpost links to useful services, COSCA and day courses run by the professionally accredited Training Academy, the Art and Soul upcycling project, local and national events, jobs, and volunteering opportunities.

The newly mobile-optimised site will allow users to access information about the charity more directly and to access vital information on the go.

Katie Yates, Marketing Manager at Soul Soup said: “Soul Soup is such a well-supported and readily identified charity, we wanted to ensure that the new logo reflected and brought across much of our roots. We have sought to develop a bright, youthful, freshness to the new Soul Soup brand. The slogan ‘YOUR SAFE PLACE’ was suggested to us by our young people accessing the service as somewhere they can go to feel safe and supported.”

Linda McLachlan, Managing Director at Soul Soup, added: “We have grown as a charity substantially over the last 12 months having doubled in size and taken on new premises in Irish Street which we are currently renovating. With so much focus on mental health in the national news, we understand the importance of ensuring our service is readily accessible to our young people and to work collaboratively with professional bodies.
The new website seeks to provide a clearer referral pathway as well as helpful resources. We have more exciting project developments on the way this year including a Mental Health Ambassador Charter which seeks to bring mental health support across to more remote areas of Dumfries and Galloway.”
