Traffic Diverted As Bus Goes On Fire In Castle Douglas

Emegency services were called out to attend to a bus fire on King Street Castle Douglas at around 12.30pm today (Monday the 30th of October 2017) 

The Stagecoach bus went up in flames at the bottom of King Street next to the Castle Douglas Festivities Charity Shop. Fire Crews and Police are in attendance, No one is reported to be injured in the incident.

The fire appears to have started in the engine compartment at the rear of the vehicle. We will update the story as more news comes in.

The Road is currently closed, please avoid the area.
