Motorcyclist Knocked From Bike – Lochmaben

Police Scotland is seeking witnesses to a road traffic collision which saw the rider of a red coloured Lexmoto motorcycle knocked from his machine, and the driver of the other vehicle fail to stop. The collision happened at around 1330 hours on Saturday 21 January 2017 on the A709 road near to Hunter House, Lochmaben, when the motorcyclist met an oncoming vehicle as he rounded a bend and the two collided. As a result the 24 year old rider of the motorcycle was knocked from his machine. The driver of the other vehicle, believed only to be a car, failed to stop after the collision. The rider received bruising as a result of the collision and his motorcycle was slightly damaged.

Constable Lee Barnfather at Lockerbie said “It amazes me that the driver of the car failed to stop after the crash. We are keen to hear from anyone who might have witnessed this collision, or even the driver of the car if they wish to come forward to clear the matter up. Police at Lockerbie can be contacted through the 101 number.”
