Lockerbie Customer Services was proud to welcome over 20 children to the presentation of this year‘s Tesco Bank Summer Reading Challenge.
These young readers took up the challenge of completing 6 books over their summer holidays. The children participated enthusiastically, collecting stickers, puzzles and magic colour glasses along the way.
In celebration of their achievement they were presented with Tesco Bank Summer Reading Challenges, The Big Friendly Read certificate and medal.
Communities Committee Chairman, Councillor Tom McAughtrie said;
“Well done to all the children who took part in the reading challenge. Initiatives like the Summer Reading Challenge encourage the next generation to use our Council’s libraries. We look forward to welcoming you at next year’s challenge.”
