Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses to the theft of new, boxed kitchen units and appliances from a house under construction at the Otters Burn development in Crocketford. The theft took place sometime between Friday 4 and Tuesday 8 November. The units are Porter Alabaster rigid built cabinets and include pelmets, plinths cornice and handles. The appliances include an induction hob, a fridge freezer, a dishwasher, a double over, a sink and taps. The value of the kitchen is about £7,500.
Constable Victoria Thomson at Castle Douglas said “clearly this theft would have taken a bit of time and a large vehicle to remove all the se units and appliances. We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of the Otters Burn development over the weekend to give us a call if they saw or heard anything suspicious.
