MORE THAN £50,000 CASH AND JEWELLERY STOLEN IN DUMFRIES HOUSE RAID

High value break-in – Dumfries

Jewellery with a value of over £50,000 has been stolen in a break-in to a house in Pleasance Avenue in Dumfries sometime between Saturday 20 June and Friday 10 July 2015. A quantity of cash was also stolen in the raid.

Detective Constable Lorna Douglas of Police Scotland in Dumfries said “we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in Pleasance Avenue, in the area around Troqueer Primary School over this period. The jewellery stolen is of high value and includes a tanzanite and diamond ring, bracelet and necklace and an emerald and diamond ring, bracelet and necklace, pearl necklaces and a number of diamond rings and earrings.”
