The Volunteer crew from Nith Inshore Rescue were paged by Belfast Coastguard at 10.50 am this morning Monday the 21st of January 2019, to a report of an aground vessel which suffered a mechanical breakdown off Carsethorn.
The tall ship LA MALOUINE is based at Glencaple, and was heading home to dock for the winter and for repairs.
The larger Nith inshore rescue boat “St John” launched and towed the 70 tonne Tallship back into Glencaple where it was docked safely on the Quay.
