Police are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Annan on Friday 28 October 2016.
Around 2300 hours on Friday night, a 35 year old man was walking along Scott’s St, Annan, when he was struck on the head by a man who came at him from behind.
He was taken by ambulance to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary where he was treated and has since been released.
Sergeant Alan Dillon, Annan Police Office, is appealing for information. He said:
“The man had just left work nearby and was in Scott’s St where he was attacked.
“From our enquiries so far, two men were seen running away from Scott’s St though Newington Park after the attack. (No description).
“Officers are currently checking CCTV in the area and carrying out door to door enquiries, however, I would appeal to anyone who was in the area who may have seen the attack, or who has any information that will assist officers with their investigation, to contact Annan Police Office via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
