Stranraer Care Home Staff Frightened As Man Attempts Break-in

POLICE officers in Stranraer are investigating an attempted break-in at a care home in Fairhurst Road in the town.

Around 4:10 AM, this morning, a staff member observed a man looking in the windows of the care home, before he attempted to gain entry to the premises.

Constable Iain McEwan, based at Stranraer said “This was a frightening situation for the staff members on duty, who have quickly contacted police. Today we have been carrying out enquiries in and around the immediate area and are keen to identify a man described as 5ft 7-10, slim/medium build, wearing dark clothing with a light hooded top.
