THORNHILL COMMUNITY TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR VILLAGE

Recently Thornhill Community Council issued a rallying call to local residents and groups to support their village clean up initiative , and support they did with well over 40 people turning out to clean up around village.

Organiser and Vice Chairman Jim Renicks told DGWGO News ” We were very pleased with the turnout , we are very lucky to live in such a picturesque village and it was great to see this support . Jim added ” We hope to make this a regular event in the village calendar but we also need to remind everyone of there social responsibility to keep our village tidy .”

The Community Council would also like to thank Declan McGarva for his work on this project as part of his Duke of Edinburgh award .
