They Continued “Members of the community can just drop-in to take part in family friendly Arts and Crafts workshops, the people of Dumfries will be treated to the spectacular sight of the traditional Lion Dance around 12 noon which will be performed by our talented young people to showcase the Year of the Young People 2018. After savour the cuisines of many countries, between 1pm-3pm, we have One Day Without Us program, listen to live music and see some of the contributions New Scots make to local life in Dumfries and Galloway.”

The Chinese New Year begins on the Friday,16th of February 2018, and it is the year of the Dog. People born in the dog year are said to be hard workers and exceptionally loyal.
