This fascinating story is told through drama and music. Elizabeth Crichton had a dream to have a caring and compassionately run asylum in Dumfries. In 1839, the Crichton Asylum opened, becoming world renowned for its enlightened practices under the authority of Dr W.A.F. Browne.
