Two Kirkcudbright Academy pupils were successful again in the Rotary Young Chef District Final held at the West Lothian College Livingston on Saturday 3rd February.
17 year old S6 pupil,Emma Craig was runner up which qualifies her for the Regional Final in Alnwick later next month.
14 year old S3 pupil Maya Johnston (who was the youngest person to compete) achieved a credible 4th place.
Contestants came from afar as Berwick, Edinburgh, Langholm and of course Kirkcudbright. The winner of Saturdays final was Courtney Bell sponsored by Duns Rotary Club.
A Rotary club spokesperson said “Thank you to all participants and Rotary Clubs who sponsor the pupils by paying for ingredients used in preparing their three course menus.“
