Transport Planner / Administrator

Full Time (40 hours), Permanent

08:00 to 16:30 Mon to Fri

We are looking for a Transport Planner / Administrator to join our busy team based in Dumfries. The job role requires the selected candidate to work well as part of a team, assisting many areas within the company.

Key duties will include:

Booking transport for finished goods
Preparing export documents
Creating shipping notes
Processing sales orders
Answering and directing phone calls
Act as first point of contact for visitors
Maintaining spreadsheets
The ideal candidate should have the following skills:

Be competent using Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel in particular)
Have a confident telephone manner.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
The ability to multi-task and willingness to assist others where necessary.
Experience using ERP systems.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
