The 40-strong choir will perform under the baton of David McCullough in a programme of
well-known light classics ranging from opera to jazz to traditional songs. There will also be
special guest performances by John Gilderdale-Smith (violin) and Rory McLatchie (baritone).
Formed in 1950, the Dumfries Male Voice Choir has sung in Gifhorn, Germany and
Annapolis, USA, both twin towns with Dumfries, as well as many venues throughout the UK.
They have also recently entertained two foreign choirs, from Austria and Brittany.

The Friends of the Peter Pan Moat Brae Trust will also provide light refreshments for the
evening and are encouraging anyone with an interest in Moat Brae who likes good music to
turn up on the night. They hope to attract a new audience who will enjoy finding out more
about the plans to create an international visitor attraction and Centre for Children’s
Literature at Moat Brae – Birthplace of Peter Pan. Donations to support the work of the
Trust will be welcomed.

Friends Coordinator, Caroline Buck said: “We are delighted to have the support of the
Dumfries Male Voice Choir who are lending their voices to this wonderful project at Moat
Brae. We hope lots of people will join us for what promises to be a lovely evening.”
