This July, the Absolute Classics Festival returns to Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries, offering four evenings of chamber music. From 3 to 6 July 2025, audiences can expect performances by some of today’s most respected classical artists, presented with the quiet confidence and attention to detail that define the festival.
A highlight of this year’s programme is cellist Brannon Cho, recognised internationally for his technical mastery and compelling stage presence. On Saturday 5 July, Cho will perform with pianist John Lenehan, whose versatility has made him a fixture on the international concert scene.
The festival opens on Thursday 3 July with violinist Jack Liebeck and pianist Simon Callaghan. Friday’s concert brings together Callaghan, Fenella Humphreys, Thomas Carroll, and Julian Bliss for a programme featuring Brahms, Beethoven, and Messiaen. The series concludes on Sunday 6 July with Moscow-born pianist Andrey Gugnin, known for his dynamic interpretations and international accolades.
All concerts take place at Easterbrook Hall (DG1 4TA). Tickets are £20 for adults and free for under-26s, underscoring Absolute Classics’ commitment to accessibility. Tickets are available at www.absoluteclassics.co.uk
