The  folk of Dalbeattie will be in for a huge festive treat tomorrow night, Friday the 2nd of December when the towns brand new Christmas lights get turned on for the First time.

Wrap up warm and come down to the High Street, the fun starts at 5.00pm with Santa arriving in the town at Bryan Gowans Shop at around 6.00pm , there will be  live music,a disco, free funfair rides, late opening, traders’ hospitality and of course a chance to meet Santa. It will be a great night for all the family young and old.

A spokesperson for the Christmas lights Committee said ” A big thanks to the Chamber of Trade, Jim & Geordie from Civic Daze, Michael Gaffney & Sons, Lotus Electrical Services and E-Teq.”

The big switch on is Friday, 2nd December from 5pm to 7pm.
