GALLOWAY CRICKET CLUB NEED YOUR VOTE TO GAIN JEWSON GRANT

Galloway Cricket Club have plans to build a much-needed new pavilion at their picturesque ground in the Cally woods in Gatehouse of Fleet. The current clubhouse is in an appalling state and rapidly becoming uninhabitable. The new facility will cost around £250,000 and will include changing rooms, toilets and showers, kitchen area, club room and scorer’s loft

Galloway Cricket Club prides itself in the work it has done over the past few years and providing fit for purpose facilities is paramount to our future success and sustainability. Providing the basic facilities is a key necessity, for example toilets. The picture below shows the existing toilets which are a quarter mile away from the pavilion, a situation which is simply not good enough.

Following a successful CricketForce weekend (supported by Cricket Scotland and Jewson) at the ground when members of the club gathered for a day of maintenance and fun prior to the start of the season, the club has been shortlisted to receive funding of up to £50,000 from Jewson as part of their “Building better communities” project!

However the last stage of the process involves a public vote – so we need the local community to support us and help us get the votes we need to secure this funding!
Details of how to vote can be found via the following link:https://www.buildingbettercommunities.co.uk/submission/galloway-cricket-club-pavilion
