The Team Behind the Fantastically Successful Kirkcudbrights 4 Chefs one day Event last year , have decided to do it all again , and have just announced the line up for the next Chefs day !
Well finally the time has come to reveal the line up for this years Chef’s Day at the Kirkcudbright Food Festival in October (18th/19th).
The Chefs are Martin Avey – Del Amitri – Annan. Since opening in late 2007, the Del Amitri has already won recognition from leading food critics in Scotland, has been awarded an AA Rosette, and in 2012 entered the Michelin Guide with 2 Knive and Fork awards , Martin presented at Last years Chefs day and was fantastic , his food was first class and his presentation enthralled the whole room !
Ian McAndrew – Blackaddie – Sanquhar., Ian is the owner and chef, and has held a Michelin Star for many years in his previous restaurants so you can imagine that the food at Blackaddie Country House Hotel is some of the best to be found in Scotland.At last years Chefs day Ian gripped the crowd with his amazingly warm attitude and presentation and fantastic food !
Tom & Malcolm Kirkpatrick – Kirkpatrick’s – Kirkcudbright ( a first Father & Son demonstration). Tom has a 36 seater Family run restaurant in Kirkcudbright ‘Kirkpatricks’. Serving traditional Scottish food, using local produce. Famous for their Scottish “TAPAS” night every Thursday. Tom recently won the D&G Life Magazine Chef of the year Award for his commitment to food Education in Schools and the Local community . Plus Tom is one of the main organisors of the Chef event , and as well as showing you how to cook amazing food he will have you laughing with his witty sense of humor and comments !
Finishing with One of Scotland’s greatest food Ambassador Tony Singh (seen recently on Food and Drink with Michel Roux Jnr and twice competitor on The Great British Menu and a star of a recent Food programme The Spice Men. He loves using Scottish produce and will add his on take on Scottish classics. I know it’s early but put the date in your diaries.
