7-Up for Queens Ladies with Away Win Against Flip the Mindset Ladies

It was a case of 7-up for Queens Ladies on Sunday when they took on quirkily-named Flip the Mindset Ladies in a Biffa SWFL (South) league match.  Queens burst into action from kick off and had  a three goal lead after only 7 minutes.  Hat tricks for Alexandra Connon (1, 74, 88) and Holly Ovens (4, 55, 69), and a goal from Megan Hodgson (7) gave Queens another victory, maintained their 100% league record, and put them on the brink of clinching the league title.  FT Flip the Mindset Ladies 0  Queens Ladies 7.

This Sunday Queens take on Kilwinning Ladies in a game that could virtually seal the title.  With 5 games to go and Queens 9 points ahead of Kilwinning, a win would mean that Kilwinning could not overhaul Queens as Queens have a vastly superior goal difference.  In theory Stewarton could still pip Queens to the title but that the chances of that happening are infinitesimal with Queens then requiring only a single point from their last 3 games to make their points total unassailable.  If Queens beat Kilwinning and Stewarton drop points this Sunday, the title will be coming to Dumfries.

Kick off at NWCC on Sunday is at 2pm.  Free admission.
