The Melting Pot Brings “Bridging Communities” Event to D&G

Bridging Communities is an unconference shaking up business networking and community collaboration in Scotland. After sell-out events in Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Highlands, The Melting Pot is excited to announce that we are coming to Dumfries & Galloway for a cross-sector networking event.

For our hosts, Helen, Jess and Anna, community is their guiding light. They’ve experienced firsthand the power of community in offering advice, support, inspiration and celebration. Now, we’re bringing this spirit to Dumfries & Galloway.

Join The Melting Pot and their community partners (Social Enterprise Academy, CodeBase, Techscaler, Black Professionals Scotland, Startup Grind Scotland, Knowvate Hub, Dechomai Ltd and Community Lab) on their travels to explore what community means to us all. You’ll hear from our speakers about their experiences with their communities, their journeys in life and work and the lessons they’ve learned along the way.

A review published by CEIS commented on the purposeful nature of networking at Bridging Communities: “It felt like a friend had invited you to a social gathering at their home where you didn’t know anyone and left at the end of the evening having met a few people you now had plans to continue a conversation with again soon.”

Bridging Communities will take place at The Stove Network, 100 High Street, Dumfries, DG1 2BJ on 13 March from 16:30 – 19:00.

Tickets are available from £7.50 via EventBrite: http://tinyurl.com/TMPdumfries.
