Following on from a hugely successful Fiver Fest campaign in October, independent businesses in Dumfries are being asked to take part in a Fiver Fest Fortnight during February.
Julie Hollis, of Cloud 9 Studio Gallery on Irish Street who runs the Not on Dumfries High Street social media site, is calling out to business owners in Dumfries town centre to join in with this national campaign championed by Totally Locally.
The campaign highlights the fact that just £5 a week spent locally makes a massive difference to small businesses. The event brought hundreds of shoppers through shop doors during October, all hunting out £5 bargains. They were also able to pick up bargains from local online businesses and at leisure based businesses.
Retailers must register their interest by Sunday 2nd February by signing up to the Not on Dumfries High Street mailing list, which can be found on social media and also at the team’s website: www.notondumfrieshighstreet.simplesite.com.
