Local business hub seizes initiative to provide tenants with its own fast broadband
Recognising that many of its tenants were frustrated by their slow broadband speeds, Heathhall Business Centre in Dumfries have taken the innovative step of providing their own site-wide superfast wireless network, available for all it’s business tenants.
Previously, businesses were experiencing speeds of 1-2 Mbps with issues of inconsistency and drop-outs. The new internet connection will replace current BT services with a much more stable, high-speed connection.
The new multi-point wireless network connects all businesses located at Heathhall Business Centre to a central point and provides tenants and visitors with a high speed connection.
When fully rolled out users will benefit from upload and download speeds in excess of 25Mbps allowing existing and new businesses to access online services easily and build their presence online.
As well as a much faster and reliable internet connection, the team at Heathhall Business Centre have ensured an entirely cloud-based solution allowing management to diagnose any problems immediately and troubleshoot remotely before network users are even aware of an issue.
Each unit has its own secure network which is fully encrypted to maintain its security and integrity.
Visitors can also now benefit from the 2hrs free internet service by visiting the new Marchbanks Café which opens next month.
