Laura Ashley Partners With DG Home Improvement Centre
The Dumfries & Galloway Home Improvement Centre (DGHIC) has become Scotland’s first official retailer of Laura Ashley kitchens and fitted bedrooms. This is fantastic news for customers, but it is also a feather in the cap for this local company.

Laura Ashley is a household name, known for its classic clothing and luxury home furnishings. More recently it has developed a range of kitchens and fitted bedrooms which embody the quality and style for which the brand is famed. In order to display and deliver these beautiful collections, Laura Ashley has hand-picked those retailers that it trusts to maintain its excellent reputation. And DGHIC has made the grade!
It is a well-earned accomplishment. DGHIC parent company, Dumfries Timber Company, is a local success story and, since forming in 2007, has expanded its operations throughout Dumfries and into Ayrshire. It is a significant employer in the region with nearly 50 staff including an apprentice scheme. This inspiring company also has environmental accreditations for use of sustainable timber, plus active memberships with relevant small business and trade bodies.
The new Laura Ashley kitchen and fitted bedroom ranges will be launched in October at the DGHIC showroom. This can be found at the Lochar Industrial Estate near Heathhall. Here, staff have been working hard to ensure that the new collections are ready for the launch. This includes the variety of finishes and accessories which will give a truly bespoke touch to the available ranges.
