Dumfries & Galloway Mental Health Association (DGMHA) purchase a company van, as part of the £60k donation from Castle MacLelland, for use of Castle Douglas Charity Shop and Maintenance Person.
At the end of 2022 Castle MacLelland surprised the team at DGMHA with a fantastic donation of £60k to be used to fund new equipment for the charity shop, property refurbishments and to place mindfulness benches across the region.
DGMHA have purchased a van to be used by the Maintenance Person for daily property upkeep and repairs. Dumfries & Galloway Mental Health Association strive to keep living conditions of the properties to a high standard for their service users, which has a positive impact on mental health. The van will also be used by the Charity Shop to collect any donations from the public and in the future, to deliver purchases to customers. The charity shop is located on 7 Carlingwark Street, Castle Douglas, a warm welcome will be given to visitors.
DGMHA would like to extend their gratitude to Klic Cars Dumfries for their assistance in purchasing the van and to Signcraft Signs Ltd for their design and signage wrapping services. The entire DGMHA team is thrilled to see the van looking great and now in operation.
If you happen to spot the van in the region, be sure to give a friendly wave!
