Dumfries Devorgilla Rotary Club Christmas Pop-Up Shop Opens This week

Dumfries Devorgilla Rotary Club are opening a Charity Pop – Up Shop this November in the Loreburne Centre, Dumfries. The Pop – Up will be open from 22th to 25th November and located beside JD Sports within the Centre.  Customers will be able to purchase a range of pre-loved items on offer, including electrical and bric-a-brac and the chance for some real bargains that you can no longer get on the High Street.

The shop will be entirely manned by volunteers from Devorgilla Rotary and is the fourth year the Pop – Up Shop has been open which originally opened following lockdown as a way to encourage getting out and shopping locally. Devorgilla Service and Environment Convenor Charles Milroy said

“We are really excited to open the shop and given the opportunity for which we are really grateful for the assistance of the Loreburne Centre and Michael O’Hagan. The Pop – Up will be a great way to raise money with ever purchase made going to local charities and youth organisations. In previous years an amazing £12,000 has been raised with local charities benefiting. We are therefore delighted to have been given this opportunity by the Loreburne Centre in a prime location and hope we can further benefit local causes”.

The Charity Pop – Shop will be set up from the 22nd  November and donations for items for sale will be gratefully received at the shop. There will also be a Tombola with great prizes on offer every day.
