On Friday 24th November, Dumfries & Galloway Mental Health Association officially opened their new office base in Newton Stewart.
Situated next to Scent of Galloway, 24 Albert Street, the office is a perfect base for Deputy Team Leader, Karen Wither, and her staff team that support the service users in Newton Stewart and surrounds.
This new base will help the team to grow, increasing the support delivered in the area and opening more employment opportunities.
The afternoon was kicked off by a special cutting of the ribbon by Karen, joined by Team Leader, Ann Marie Wither, and Deputy Team Leader, Lesley Reid. Board Chairman, Martin Donaldson, CEO, Lisa Todd, and Care & Support Manager, Liz Kelting are also pictured.
A fantastic afternoon tea was provided by neighbours, Scent of Galloway Café, and food and service were thoroughly enjoyed by all. DGMHA send a big thank you to Jill Lyon, owner of the café and office, for giving their team a base to continue providing mental health support to those in need in the area.
DGMHA would also like to thank all those who have donated, which has helped The Association to be able to open this new base for the service.
