Parkdale Garage Drives Charity Success with Cash for Kids Fundraising

Parkdale Garage is delighted to announce the success of its fundraising initiative for Cash for Kids throughout 2023. For every MOT carried out at the garage during the past year, £5 was donated to Cash for Kids, contributing to a substantial fundraising effort.

Due to the overwhelming support and positive impact, Parkdale Garage is pleased to extend its commitment to Cash for Kids throughout 2024 and will continue donating £5 for every MOT. This ongoing pledge aims to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and families in need within our community.

Directors Callum Carson and Duncan McCready expressed their gratitude, stating: “We extend our thanks to our valued customers for their support in making this initiative a success. Their contributions have made a significant impact, and we are proud to continue supporting Cash for Kids in the coming year.”

Callum and Duncan also acknowledged the dedication of the staff at Parkdale Garage, whose efforts were instrumental in this achievement. “Our team has worked hard to make this fundraising initiative possible. We are proud of their commitment and passion for giving back to the community. We look forward to another year of collaboration with Cash for Kids.”

Andy Irving, Charity Manager, Cash for Kids said: “Cash for Kids are so grateful for the generous donation and continued support from Parkdale Garage. The £5,000 raised from their £5 for every MOT in 2023 helped us support 100 children and families living in poverty in Dumfries and Galloway, ensuring they had a better Christmas. This kind of support is essential to our charity’s work, granting throughout the year to help children and young people affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness and those who have additional needs. It is so important to us that what is raised local stays local, which is why every penny of this donation went straight back into the community. We are delighted that Callum and his team have pledged to continue the £5 for every MOT in 2024 and are looking forward to working together in the year ahead.”
