The charity Crimestoppers is offering a cash reward for information after a Dumfries couple aged in their seventies were assaulted in their own home during a brutal robbery.

The attack took place during the early evening of Sunday 18 August 2019 when the owner noticed something suspicious outside. On opening the door, he was attacked by three people – two men and a woman – and knocked to the ground. He was assaulted again whilst demands were made for money.
