Police Scotland now report that the 22 year old cyclist who came of his bike on the B797 near Wanlockhead on Monday 15 August 2016 has died in the early hours of Thursday 18 August 2016 at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
He has been named as James Murray from Fraser Terrace in Wanlockhead. The Procurator Fiscal has been informed.
