55 YEAR OLD DALBEATTIE MAN KILLED IN A75 CRASH

Fatal Road Crash – A75 Castle Douglas

Police Scotland report that a 55 year old man from Dalbeattie was killed in a two vehicle road traffic collision on the A75 road about two miles east of Castle Douglas at around 1530 hours on Wednesday 10 February 2016. The dead man was the driver of a Vauxhall Corsa car at the time when it was in collision with a Vauxhall Movano van, being driven by a 46 year old man from Dumfries, who was taken by ambulance to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary with leg injuries. The 25 year old passenger in the Vauxhall Corsa car was not injured.

Constable Andrew McCornick from the Divisional Roads Policing Unit at Castle Douglas said “we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this crash to get in touch with us at Castle Douglas on the 101 number.
