Police Launch Appeal For Witnesses To Annan House Break-in

POLICE SCOTLAND are appealing for help in an investigation into a break-in at a house in Annan over the weekend. Sometime between 10.30 am on Saturday, 30 November, and 9.40pm on Monday, 2 December, 2019 a house in Albert Place was broken into and a large quantity of property stolen. The property stolen includes a bike, two very large televisions, a laptop computer, an X-box and games, Christmas presents, hand bags and jewellery. The value of the stolen property is expected to run into thousands of pounds.

Constable Loreto Burke at Annan said: “Because of the quantity of property stolen from this house those responsible must have been there for quite a while, and are likely to have needed a vehicle to remove the property. We are currently carrying out door to door enquiries in the area. I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the Albert Place or Alexandra Place area over this period to get in touch with us if they saw or heard anything suspicious. I would also be keen to hear about any vehicles which were seen in the area, or parked in the area, over the weekend which may have seemed suspicious. Callers can contact us at Annan on the 101 number and should use the reference number 3655 2 December 2019.”
