The SSPCA areappealing to find the owner of a rough coated lurcher who was hit by a car on the A75 near the Cuckoo Bridge Roundabout in Dumfries this morning.
The black and grey male dog was rushed to a vets but tragically he was so badly injured he could not be saved.
He was wearing a broad leather collar with a multi-coloured linen scarf tied to it. We believe he was a young dog and while we understand his owner will be devastated by this awful news we are sure they will want to know what has happened to their pet.
