Police Scotland report that divers from the Police Scotland Marine Unit have this morning found the body of a male person in the area of The Caul in on the River Nith in Dumfries.
The body has been recovered from the water. The family of the missing man Charles Mellor have been informed of the find. No formal identification has been made at this stage. The Procurator Fiscal has been informed.
