CAR STOLEN AND FOUND BURNT OUT – ANNAN

Police Scotland is investigating the theft of a black coloured Ford Fiesta car which was stolen from a house in Annan Road in Dumfries sometime overnight Friday 1/Saturday 2 April 2016.

The car was parked outside the house, on the edge of the town on Annan Road.  At around 2245 hours on Sunday 3 April 2016 a vehicle was found on fire on the B724 road between Collin and Torthorwald about half a mile outside Torthorwald.  The fire was extinguished by the Fire and Rescue Service, however was completely burnt out.

Constable Keith Beattie said “we have yet to confirm that the burnt out car is the stolen one, however it is a black coloured Ford Fiesta.  We want to hear from anyone who may have been on the B724 road on Sunday night if they saw or heard anything suspicious.  We also want to know where the stolen car was between Friday night and Sunday night.  The number of the car is SA 12 FVN and anyone who has seen the car over this period should call us at Dumfries on 101.
