CASTLE DOUGLAS ROTARY WANT YOU TO ‘USE YOUR BOTTLE’ THIS CHRISTMAS

Xmas is when the Rotary club of Castle Douglas organises its main community collection to raise funds for a wide variety of local good causes. Last year’s collection invited every household to drop their small change into your personal Santa’s Savers milk carton Elf bank. By using an old milk bottle and decorating it in a festive way.

This year they are repeating the concept but will be reinstating, due to popular demand, the Santa’s Sleigh trip around every street in Castle Douglas at which time they will collect your household Santa Savers banks. Watch for dates on Facebook at: https://goo.gl/gdA9Cv
Cliff Robertson from the Rotary Club Said “Use your Santa Savers Elf bank for any small change and we will collect them just before Xmas or, drop it off at the Kings Arms Hotel or Castle Douglas community charity shop. Five lucky households will have the honour of selecting a local good cause or charity, pre-registered with your local Rotary, to benefit from a donation from the Xmas collection.
Go to: http://www.rotary-ribi.org/clubs/homepage.php?ClubID=69 for the list of preregistered organisations and how to register.

You can nominate your favourite local charity or good cause, all we ask is that they serve the residents of our local community and are active within the map approximating from Carsphairan to Castle Douglas to Crocketford. Remember the price of a coffee from every local household would raise at least £7,500!
