DUMFRIES Man Craig Magee and his niece Alicia Johnstone, aged 6, made the decision to “brave the shave” in order to raise funds for the Oncology Unit at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary. The decision came after Margaret Magee, their Mum/Granny was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in December 2017.
After a long six months of chemotherapy, it was decided that on the last day of treatment, Craig will shave his hair, live on facebook and Alicia will have hers cut. This happened on 20th June 2018.
In additon to the fundraising, Alicia decided that she would like to donate her hair to The Little Princess Trust, who create beautiful wigs for children and young people undergoing chemotherapy. She has since had 14 inches cut from her hair by Signature Hair in Dumfries, who kindly donated their time.
If you would like to help Craig and Alicia continue to raise funds for this wonderful unit and their patients, please donate to their JustGiving Crowdfunding page.
Thank you for your support.
