POLICE SCOTLAND are appealing for the public’s assistance in tracing 53-year-old Kevin Hughes who has been missing from Dumfries since Saturday, 17 July, 2021.
Kevin was last seen around 11am in the Cuckoo Bridge Retail Park in Dumfries on Saturday. He has access to a white/cream Mini Cooper (reg KJ05 00Y) and we believe he may have travelled to the Ayr area of Ayrshire.
He is described as white, around 5 ft 5 ins tall, slim, with short hair and a long grey goatee style beard. He has tattoos on both arms. His accent may be a mixture of Liverpudlian and Scottish. When last seen, he was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, dark t-shirt, dark jeans and white Adidas trainers.

Inspector Colin McKinstry, Dumfries, said: “Kevin was reported missing to Police when he didn’t turn up for work yesterday (Monday, 19 July). It is unusual for him to not be in touch with colleagues, family or friends. We are concerned for his welfare and want to trace him to ensure he is safe and well.
“If you have seen Kevin, his car, or have any information which could assist in tracing him, please get in touch with Police Scotland via 101 quoting reference number 0743 of Tuesday 20 July, 2021.”
