Police in Sanquar are investigating after a 4 month old lamb was found dead in a field near to Sanquhar Castle.
The lamb appears to have suffered serious injuries and it is suspected it has been attacked by another animal, possibly a dog.
PC John Carter based at Sanquhar said “The route past the field is popular with dog walkers and the Southern Upland Way footpath passes nearby. We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area between 0700 hours and 0900 hours on Monday 31st July 2017 and saw anything that may help Police with their enquiries.
