DRAMATIC RESCUE OF MAN AND HIS DOGS ON CLIFFS NEAR PORTPATRICK

Yesterday the Coastguard were alerted when a man  and his two dogs got into trouble on  cliffs near Portpatrick .
 

A spokesperson said that When  the dogs had become stuck on a ledge on  the cliffs at Dunskey castle just outside the Wigtownshire harbour town of Portpatrick , The man (who has not been named) had attempted to rescue them but also become stuck and could not manage scale back up the cliff face

1 a 1 a coast gaurdThe Belfast Coastguard  was alerted .  The well trained local cliff rescue teams from the Coastgaurd stations at Portpatrick, Stranraer and Ballantrae Used ropes and Equipment to reach the Man and his 2 dogs to aid them back to the top of the cliffs . The Portpatrick RNLI Lifeboat was on standby during the whole dramatic rescue.

The man and his Dogs are now safe and well !
