New Exclusive Wedding Venue For Dumfries & Galloway
The brand new Dalswinton Estate Wedding Venue is almost ready for its launch this weekend and Team DGWGO have been along to have a look around before the big day. Queensberry Event Hire and their suppliers will be on hand for the wedding venues opening event on June 2nd and June 3rd.
This event is a fantastic opportunity for Queensberry Event Hire owners, William and Sophie, to show off their brand new clear span frame marquee and for you to meet the team and some of their favourite wedding suppliers.

2nd June: 10 am – 4 pm
3rd June: 11 am – 3 pm
No appointment is needed to view the venue, just pop along on either of the days and both William and Sophie will be on hand along with the catering team to discuss your wedding plans.
Dalswinton Estate Wedding Venue
There are so many great things about the venue and marquee that we just don’t know where to start…
The estate itself feels like it’s tucked away miles from anywhere making it the perfect rural retreat for your big day. It’s set in tranquil grounds surrounded by rolling countryside. The woodlands and loch only add to the charm of the estate and create the perfect locations for the most stunning wedding photographs.
There’s even a ‘wee red church’ on the estate that can be hired separately for either religious or humanist services, meaning you can have the ceremony and reception all in one place. Situated just 7 miles from Dumfries it is ideally located with access to plenty of accommodation; ensuring you and your guests will have no problems getting to the church on time!

Open Day 2nd – 3rd June
The new marquee will be in situ in the walled garden during the two-day event, so you will be able to see how it will look on your wedding day and also everything that is included in the wedding package.

This gives you plenty of room for your wedding breakfast as well as allowing for the celebrations to go late into the night. With a stunning bar designed especially for the marquee and a ‘chill out’ lounge area everything you require for your reception is included. It is also fully customisable with clear roof sections which give it an open feeling as well as allowing you to make the most of the exceptional views. The walled garden is a unique setting over looking the loch, its tranquillity and privacy create a venue which feels like a home away from home. The grounds next to the loch and the island on the loch both create ideal locations for outdoor ceremonies.

The new venue is run by Queensberry Event Hire who have an excellent reputation for great service and attention to detail. They have pulled together some great local suppliers with years of wedding experience. Their little black book is full of florists, caterers and photographers, who can all add the finishing touches to your special day.
