Dumfries Man Named In Fatal Road Collision in Midlothian

The family of a man who lost his life in a road traffic collision on the A6094 in Midlothian have today paid tribute to the 41-year-old.

Howard Wilson, from Dumfries, died after his silver Vauxhall Zafira was involved in the collision with another vehicle on Sunday 2nd October. A 68-year-old woman also lost her life in the collision.

Howard’s family issued the following statement through Police Scotland:

“It is with great sadness that we announce Howard’s death.

“Howard was a very much loved son, brother and adored daddy.

“Howard had great friends and he will be fondly remembered for his love of music, life and family time.

“We would like to say thank you to all friends and family who have contacted us offering their kind wishes.”

Police are continuing with their enquiries into the collision and are particularly keen to speak to those who stopped at the scene immediately after the collision itself if they have not already contacted police.
