University of Glasgow Dumfries Campus Student Gets Involved In European Ecovillage Conference

Chloe Watson a first year Environmental Science and Sustainability student studying at Dumfries Campus is co-organising the annual European Ecovillage Conference for the first time in Sweden.


Chloe told DGWGO “The conference draws many hundreds of intentional communities from across Europe offering speakers, expositions, workshops, music, and a place to meet, inspire and be inspired. This year’s conference themes of Solidarity, Resilience and Hope will weave into conference workshops and activity tracks, tied together by keynote speakers Charles Eisenstein and Helena Norberg-Hodge.

If you are curious about and want to learn more about what ecovillages are and how they work, this event if for you!​ All walks of life are welcome to explore and learn about ecovillages and to see the new technology and innovation that stems out of this movement. And maybe through the conference you can bring back new ideas for innovation for the Dumfries & Galloway area!”
