FEWER than five new cases of COVID-19 were once again identified in Dumfries and Galloway in the seven days up to April 18 2021.
However, from those cases a total of 17 close contacts were identified and advised to self-isolate – up from 5 people in the previous week.
A total of 3099 PCR COVID-19 tests were carried out, down from the 3428 the week before.
The nationally calculated 7 day positivity rate for Dumfries and Galloway was estimated to be around 0.2 per cent on 16 April. In the week ending 09/04/2021 it was 0.2 per cent.
As at 16/04/2021, the overall 7 day positivity rate is 2.7 per 100,000. In the week ending 09/04/2021 it was 2.0.
